Bear's Best Golf Club pays homage to 18 of Jack Nicklaus' favorite holes. But this is no gimmicky, thrown-together Las Vegas show course. These 18 holes actually work together. Most come from desert golf courses, making them work in the Vegas desert setting. The only hole that doesn't really fit is No. 8 from Colorado's Castle Pines, with its mini Colorado pines, but it provides a nice one-hole break.
The best of Bear's Best, though, might be the course conditions and the service. This is a very green golf course, especially for Las Vegas. And the staff goes out of its way to please, even making absolutely sure you do not lug your own bag from your car.
