Highland Falls G.C. at Sun City Summerlin offers challenging golf and panoramic views from high above the Vegas Strip
LAS VEGAS -- Highland Falls Golf Club sits at an elevation of more than 3,000 feet above the Las Vegas Strip, offering panoramic views that are unrivaled.
Highland Falls is one of three golf courses that are a part of the Sun City Summerlin community. From its lofty perch, this Billy Casper/Greg Nash design tumbles down across rolling hills. The front nine has gentler slopes but progresses into a series of steeper inclines on the back nine holes. The dramatic contours determined the strategic placement of the bunkers. Several ponds and a waterfall come into play on the course as well.
The finishing hole is one of the most challenging, with water flanking the entire right side. There are plenty of challenges but it is a course that is playable for beginners too. With wide fairways and a manageable length of just over 6,500 yards, the course is more player friendly than the rugged hills give the appearance of. The scenery alone is enough to appeal to any golfer, no matter what skill level.
Highland Falls Golf Club also has a driving range and putting green.
