Desert Pines Golf Club offers a taste of the Carolinas in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS -- Described by many as offering a taste of the Carolinas in Las Vegas, the Dye-designed Desert Pines Golf Club features countless mature pine trees lining the fairways. The large, undulating greens are protected by white sand bunkers, with water coming into play on half of the holes. This public golf course is just a 15-minute drive from the Las Vegas Strip and just 10 minutes from downtown. Desert Pines has been recognized by Golf Digest as one of the best new upscale golf courses in America.
The pro shop is stocked with name brand golf apparel and offers Callaway clubs and FootJoy shoes rentals for rent.
The lighted Practice Center at Desert Pines is a 20,000 square feet and is two tiered and climate controlled. There is an automatic ball-delivery system -- the only one in Las Vegas -- and five target greens resembling some of the country's most famous par 3, 17th holes. There is also a state-of-the-art teaching center, featuring PGA Professionals from the Walters Golf Academy.
