Reflection Bay Golf Club and The Falls named top 50 resort golf facilities by Golf World magazine
Lake Las Vegas joins a prestigious list of the most celebrated golf destinations. Golf World readers were asked to evaluate the nation's golf courses in three distinct categories - private, public and resort - based on 13 different performance criteria, such as quality of the course, course conditions, reputation/prestige and service. Over 21,000 individual golf courses were received as contenders for the honor as one of the top 50 courses. Voters recognize Lake Las Vegas as a destination offering some of the best golf experiences in the nation.
"We are pleased to be honored with the award for 2009," said John Herndon, Director of Golf. "We've worked hard to create world-class golf at Lake Las Vegas and are thrilled with the recognition from Golf World Magazine. We are proud to join the ranks of some of the best resort facilities in the country."
Reflection Bay, the first public Jack Nicklaus golf course in Nevada, plays along Lake Las Vegas and provides breathtaking views of the desert and water. The Falls Golf Club is a Tom Weiskopf design and is the newest course that Lake Las Vegas has to offer. Situated on a dramatic mountain landscape, the course features a view of the surrounding mountains and the Las Vegas Strip while offering challenging play. Recent awards include Golf Magazine Gold Medal Resort 2008, GolfChannel.com Top 20 Golf Course 2008, and Vegas Golfer Magazine Best Overall Golf Course 2008.
