Juniors play free at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort
LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort has launched a Juniors Play Free program for the 2010 summer. This program, which is in honor of USGA's National Family Golf programs, allows any junior golfer, ages 6 to 17 years, to play golf for free with any paying adult and is open to all players.
"Being a PGA member and father of two, I know the value of finding affordable summer programs that allow for parent-child interaction in a fun and quality environment," Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort Head Golf Professional Greg Brockelman said. "This is a needed initiative, especially with our current economy and the subsequent impact to school athletics across the country."
The youth-focused program rewards parents with time with their children and the advantage of summer rates, including the challenge of the all-day-play program -- Paiute's GOLFaPalooza.
Guest services team member Paul Opperman confirmed that parents have booked the two specials together stating, "considering parents can play all day for $119 and receive replays, lunch and 50 percent off rentals, they are equally excited that now their child can join them for the same all-day experience, and they do not have to factor in an additional standard rate or replay rate, only their child's lunch." Parents also can opt for a traditional 18-hole experience starting at $89 per adult.
Available until Aug. 31, Juniors Play Free is valid on all of Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort's three championship golf courses -- Snow Mountain, the Sun Mountain Course and the Wolf Course -- and includes both practice facilities.
The ratio is one junior to one paying adult. The program is available every Sunday through Thursday after 9 a.m. and Friday through Saturday after 11 a.m., based on space available, and until Aug. 31, 2010.
For July, junior tees will be set up on the Snow Mountain Course exclusively. Although the course plays to 7,146 total yards and offers fours tee options, the junior length will be scaled down, with tees set on average from middle of the green to 50 yards back on par 3s, 100 yards back on par 4s and 150 yards back on par 5s. Customized junior lessons also are currently available.
