So chances are you probably didn't pick the Arizona Cardinals and their 50-1 odds to win the Super Bowl at the start of the NFL playoffs this season.

Rest assured, though, there are other ways to win big in Las Vegas over Super Bowl weekend, thanks to a myriad of Super Bowl betting options at area casinos. You could even win just by booking two rounds of golf (which you were probably going to do anyway).

Indeed, Walters Golf has announced a special Super Bowl weekend giveaway: book two rounds at one of Walters Golf's courses between Jan. 30 and Feb. 1 and you'll be entered into a raffle to win either a Pittsburgh Steelers or Arizona Cardinals helmet signed by every member of the respective teams. The estimated value of such a limited edition item is $3,500.

"The Super Bowl is a very exciting weekend in Las Vegas, and we wanted to do something special for our guests who choose to spend part of it with us," said Josh Hill, Director of Marketing for Walters Golf.

The weekend of the Big Game is always one of Las Vegas' most popular for golf and gaming, thanks to its endless betting opportunities. Many punters also book some golf in between so they can play for hard cash among themselves.

And this year visitors will find some of the lowest hotel rates during Super Bowl weekend in Vegas in recent memory thanks to the lagging economy, from luxury options like the Bellagio and Mandalay Bay to off-strip properties like the Station Casino.

To qualify to win one of the helmets, book two rounds at either Royal Links G.C., Bali Hai G.C. and Desert Pines Golf Club. You'll automatically be entered into the drawing, to be held Feb. 1 at Bali Hai Golf Club at 1 p.m. The winners will be announced the following day on the Walters Golf Web site.

Walters Golf courses

Golfers and gamblers can tee it up at the South Pacific-themed Bali Hai golf course right on the Las Vegas Strip. The Schmidt-Curley design features forgiving rolling fairways unfolding through more than 3,000 palm trees, plus some challenging shots, including the par-3 16th's island green, better known as "Pacific Rim".

Just off the Strip, Royal Links Golf Club features 18 of the British Open's most famous holes. Although it offers a taste of the game's age-old traditions, they've added a very Vegas-style twist: Parmates, beautiful female hostesses and caddies who do everything from replace divots to boost morale.

Desert Pines Golf Club in downtown Vegas transports golfers to the Carolina sandhills. This Perry Dye design is filled with rolling hills, thousands of pine trees and bent grass greens. It's one of the area's most beloved courses, named a "Reader's Choice GolfWorld Top 50 Public Choice in 2009." Greenskeeper.org recently rated Desert Pines one of southern Nevada's best value plays.

And if you're going to be golfing for cash Super Bowl weekend, you might want to sneak out to Desert Pines' practice facility the night before your match. It's an exceptional lighted and climate-controlled 20,000 square-foot practice area.
