You thought the boys in Las Vegas held a stranglehold on showy, over-the-top golf courses? ArrowCreek Country Club is Reno's rebuttal. This wicked two-course complex in the place self-dubbed "The Biggest Little City in The World" is part of a largely underrated Sierra golf scene that includes Reno, Lake Tahoe and tons of wonderfully little towns along the mountain way.
Reno's Montreux Golf & Country Club has a limit of 435 members and they're treated to a golf course that Jack Nicklaus ranks among his five best designs. The fairways are narrow and lined by towering trees, and Mount Rose (elevation 11,000 feet) looms overhead.
