CasaBlanca Golf Club

CasaBlanca Golf Club in Mesquite, Nevada - with its lush green fairways accented by vibrant wild flowers and blue, sparkling lakes - is a desert flower of a golf course. Designed by Cal Olsen, CasaBlanca, part of a hotel/casino/spa resort, is a 7,036-yard, par-72 golf course that plays a lot longer than it seems. (In keeping with its casino roots, CasaBlanca's tees are not color-coded like at other course but, rather, are divided by card suits - spades, clubs, diamonds, etc.)

The CasaBlanca golf course's three par 5s are particularly tricky, the first of which comes right out of the gate at No. 2. The hole plays straight until you get to the green, where water and beach bunkers await. You know you are in trouble with the golf course's official guide states, "This second hole should be played conservatively to set up a positive attitude for the golfer to challenge the rest of the course."

Off course, CasaBlanca Golf Club offers a driving range and putting/chipping areas. Hourly lessons are offered as well.
