Silverstone Golf Club - Valley/Mountain

The par-5 third hole on the Mountain Course at Silverstone Golf Club is the longest hole in the state of Nevada, at 653 yards from the tips. Although this hole gets all the attention, in fact it's just one of the four 600-plus yard par 5s at Silverstone. The fifth hole on the Desert nine, for example, is 627 yards with an intimidating 230-yard carry off the tee. Still, to characterize this noted Bob Cupp design by its par 5s would be unfair. In fact, Cupp was able to provide a nice blend of medium and longish par 3s and par 4s throughout to go with the great par 5s. Silverstone Golf Club features bentgrass greens and ryegrass fairways and roughs, so there is never an overseeding period. If your game needs a little help, check out the state-of-the-art practice facility featuring a driving range, putting green and short-game areas. Also, the Silverstone Golf Academy has climate-controlled hitting bays and offers K-vest and video swing analysis. The academy also has a fully-equipped Pilates studio for golf-specific workouts designed to add length off the tee, something you might need on a couple of the par-5 holes.
