Las Vegas, Nevada | 18 holes | Desert/Links | Par: 72 | 7604 yards
The Wolf Course at Paiute Golf resort showcases what Pete Dye is all about, as the legendary golf course designer empties both barrels in what is considered one of the toughest runs in Las Vegas, if not the entire Southeast.
Coming in at an amazing 7,604 yards from the tips, the Wolf Course at Paiute Golf Resort will have golfers wondering what hit them. Luckily, with several sets of tees, its a course where high-handicapper can play alongside scratch golfer, but for golfers looking for a challenge, famed golf architect Pete Dye has given them just that.
With the Wolf Course, Dye truly unleashes his full set of skills, taking advantage of desert mystique, combined with the ringing mountains that change color throughout the course of a round, to somehow merge a mercurial round of golf with a moving desert experience. It is desert golf of the highest order at the Wolf Course, and locals and travelers are making sure to take their own bite out of the Wolf at this World-Class golf destination.
But aside from the challenges that await at this often ruthless course, players will enjoy the immaculate conditioning, as well as the quality service that Paiute Golf Resort has become famous for over the years.
So when checking with your golf packager, make sure to get a round in at the Wolf Course - if you feel brave enough to tackle Pete Dye's toughest run.

There were two issues that caused me heartburn. First, it was not warm a warm day and the wind made it even colder. Whoever runs the place told us we could not use cart covers. The reason, their carts are new and they did not want the carts scratched. So we froze so the carts could look good. Pretty unbelievable.
The second issue was that they closed the range 15 minutes before we started so make sure you get there early. Several in our group did not get a chance to hit balls.
I will not play there again.
