Opened in 1945, the Casey O' Callahan-designed Las Vegas Golf Club is among the oldest golf courses in Sin City. It's a player-friendly municipal golf course and the recipient of a recent $5 million facelift that included several course improvements and a new clubhouse.

Low scores are possible at Las Vegas Golf Club, with only a few trees dotting the open fairways. There also aren't many bunkers on the fairways to trip up duffers, though 30 hazards guard the greens.

Watch out for the second hole, the longest hole on the course at 503 yards. A few trees guard the turn on this slight dogleg par 5, but the fairway is ample, and the green is guarded by a lone bunker to the left.

Las Vegas Golf Club also has two other par 3s to keep players honest and six par 4s, the longest of which is the 438-yard, dogleg left No. 8. It's the golf course's No. 1 handicap hole.
