Las Vegas Golf Club

Las Vegas, Nevada | 18 holes | Traditional | Par: 72 | 6339 yards

Opened in 1945, Las Vegas Golf Club is among the oldest courses in Sin City. It's a player-friendly golf course with spacious fairways and few bunkers that is a must-play round on your next Las Vegas golf outing.

Opened in 1945, the Casey O' Callahan-designed Las Vegas Golf Club is among the oldest golf courses in Sin City. It's a player-friendly municipal golf course and the recipient of a recent $5 million facelift that included several course improvements and a new clubhouse.

Low scores are possible at Las Vegas Golf Club, with only a few trees dotting the open fairways. There also aren't many bunkers on the fairways to trip up duffers, though 30 hazards guard the greens.

Watch out for the second hole, the longest hole on the course at 503 yards. A few trees guard the turn on this slight dogleg par 5, but the fairway is ample, and the green is guarded by a lone bunker to the left.

Las Vegas Golf Club also has two other par 3s to keep players honest and six par 4s, the longest of which is the 438-yard, dogleg left No. 8. It's the golf course's No. 1 handicap hole.

DO NOT PLAY HERE. Booked the time time 5 days in advanced, was not warned about the high school and middle school girl's tournament they had going on at the same time, as well as a wedding that shut down the club house. The cart girl did last call at 130 while we were on the 2nd hole. Course was so backed up and stacked on top of each other with public golfers that each shot we waited 30-45 mins in between, timed it. The price was the only decent feature of this course. Spend the extra and go somewhere else. Ive golfed in over 15 different states and this was the ABSOLUTE WORSE experience ever. Complete waste of time and poor refection on the course management to not advise us of the tournament and wedding until after we paid.

I have been playing this course for years, so have seen many changes. However, the on course restrooms are in disgusting condition. additionally, the water pond next to the third hole is also disgusting. there are many players who would like to be able to retrieve their ball, should it go in the water. This pond is filthy and would be deemed so by the health department if it were checked.
the greens need to be fixed. many are in horrible shape and have little holes all over them. Either get a new green keeper or teach the one who i there to do the job right.

The course has been in good shape. Some areas of some of the greens and not good but overall they are decent with all the players that play. Sometimes can be a little slow round but not too bad for a muni type of course.

this course was absolutly horrible. over priced for a acourse that books tee time so close together. they do not offer coolers and does not allow players to bring their own. lots of people walking course. bottom line is that this course could be better managed to make it a better golf experience. dont think i will ever pay my own $$ to play this course again. there are courses like aliante or silverstone that are in the same price range with a real golf experience instead of what i call hurry up and wait in 90 degree temps and nothing to keep your water cold

Course advertised NO CART RESTRICTIONS for the weekend we were going to play(Sept.27,2013). The whole golf course was CART PATH ONLY! The joke all day long was, Cart path only WHY! What are they trying to protect. The fairways were terrible. No Overseeding was going to fix them.
I try to pick golf courses that have no cart restrictions because of the heat in Vegas you never know. The only thing the good about the course that day was the weather 80 degrees(perfect). The course SUCKS, burnt greens, weeds on every one of them impossible to putt. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!
