Black Mountain Golf & Country Club

Located in the Mojave Desert in the shadows of the Black Mountains, Black Mountain Golf & Country Club is a no-brainer addition to your next Las Vegas golf vacation. Black Mountain, only 25 minutes away from the fun and excitement of the Las Vegas Strip, comprises three nine hole golf courses featuring lightly undulating fairways, excellent greens and strategically placed hazards.

Bob Baldock built the original nine, Founders, in 1957, making it the third oldest golf course in the Las Vegas Valley. It will challenge players of all skill levels, with the opening three holes, Black Mountain's "Amen Corner," testing even the scratch golfer's skills.

The Horizon course was built seven years later. Watch out for the well-bunkered greens and the par-5 fourth hole, which plays to 544 yards and, with hazards guarding the left and right side of the green, requires precision.

Rounding out the facility is the Desert golf course, opened in 2002. It's a true desert layout and a thinking golfer's course. The fourth and final holes, in particular, require patience and sharp course management, as both feature prominent hazards.

The facility at Black Mountain Golf & Country Club also boasts a pro shop, practice area, the Jeff Symmonds Golf School and a bar and grill.
