Las Vegas golf courses in overseeding to look beautiful for you
Vegas Chuck considers beautification putting on a baseball cap and a pair of sunglasses. It takes a little more than that to keep a Las Vegas golf course in top shape though.
This is the time of year when most Vegas courses go through overseeding. While the times are staggered, late August and early September are the most common dates - though some courses overseed as late as October. A golf course will be closed for a few weeks as it goes through the process.
Which means when you come as a tourist in the fall, your fairway lies should be sweet and your pictures near postcard nice.
By October, the temperatures are starting to drop and the courses gear up for it.
“It’s a good time to visit Vegas,” said Bear’s Best head pro Greg Blackwell. “If a course doesn’t start to look good then, it’s never going to look good.”
