Like golf and poker? Walters Cup entry deadline approaching

Vegas Chuck loves Las Vegas golf like no other. Still, sometimes I find myself missing tee times because I got a little carried away on the poker tables. Show up around 4 p.m. at Mandalay Bay, look up and realize it’s 4:40 a.m. … Happens to everybody, right?

Luckily, the Walters Cup lets you combine the best of both worlds. This is a Pro Am/Poker Tournament held Nov. 4-8 in Vegas with a payout of $10,000 for the Pro Am and up to 20 large for the poker tournament. You compete in rounds at Stallion Mountain Country Club, Royal Links Golf Club and Bali Hai Golf Club.

And then you compete in Texas Hold ‘Em too.

Sometimes I think this tournament was made for Vegas Chuck. All you procrastinators had better get a move on though. The entry deadline is Sept. 14. Missing this one is worse than missing the shoeshine babe at the Venetian.
